It's pretty basic at first soldier, scientist, or engineer....after that it gets complicated....
SCIENCES Research-when a mission is over there are artifacts, your job is to figure out how it works Medical- soldiers get hurt...you get them combat ready Psychologist- Fighting invaders from another planet is taxing Behaviorist- how do the aliens think, what do they feel...or more important what do they fear
Engineer Design- alien tech is not made for human hands...change it Manufacturing*-grunt work...they think it up you build it and mass produce it Architect-as more people join X-com...well need more room Aerospace-they have ships...we need to shoot them down...keep the oil flowing and the engine clean...and fix it when it takes fire
Soldier Sniper-long range beastie killer Assault-run and gun type....lead the charge take the lumps Support- medic and smoke thrower Heavy gunner- big toys- lead hose effect
